1. 后接表示时间点(dian)的词或者词组，仅仅表示行为或(huo)者状态的起始点，而不涉及其持续时间的长短(duan)。表示时间“从……开始”，“始于”。

from morning till night 从早到晚(wan)

2. 表示地点“从……”
from Xi'an to Tianjin 从西安到天津
choose sth. from 从……中选择某物

3. 表示“离……”
be far from sth. 离(li)……远
The railway station is far from here．
火车站离这里很远(yuan)。
My home is far from the bus stop.
我家离公(gong)共汽车站很远。
4. 表示“来自……”“从……来”
be from+地点
come from+地点
be from+sb. 是某人送(song)的、寄的
He comes from China. /He is from China.
他来自中国。
The grammar book is from my uncle.
这本语法书是我叔(shu)叔送的。
The letter is from my pen pal.
这封信是我的笔友寄来的(de)。
be different from 与(yu)……不同
from now on 从现在开(kai)始
from then on 从那时起
be absent from 缺席，不在
be tired from sth.因为(wei)……而疲劳，劳累
be made from sth. 由……制成（看不出原(yuan)材料）
judging from sth. 从……判断
be away from 离开……
